This course is approved by the DBC for license renewal. This course includes review of microbiology, chain of infection, cross contamination prevention, hand washing, personal protection equipment, instrument processing, treatment room cleaning and disinfection, proper handling of lab cases and equipment, and sharps safety.

This DBC approved course meets the criteria for license renewal. This course will review current regulations in the dental practice that will include CE renewal requirements, history, agencies, scope of practice, professionalism, prescription drug requirements, violations, mandated reporting requirements.

About the Speaker:
Shari has been an RDA and CDA for 40 years still working as a chairside assistant and educator. She has her teaching credential in health occupations for adult education and has been an educator for 29 years. Shari is a current member of ADAA, CADAT, OSAP, CDA. Shari has been an educator with a focus on infection control and the dental practice act for over 12 years. She currently teaches these subjects monthly for the Santa Clara County Dental Society as well as state and local dental assisting societies.
